MAry Lee GARY

Mary Lee Gray has spent most of her life creating art. When asked about her inspiration she say, "Making art involves using images, colors and forms to communicate her responses to what has touched her life".

Mary Lee grew up in Galverson, new Orleans, New York, Tampa and Mississippi. She got involved in Printmaking while as a teaching fellow at the University of North Carolina where she completed her Master of fine arts degree. She later went on to obtained her PHD at the University of Houston.

Mary Lee's printing technique starts with cutting away part of wood surface, then inking and printing the remaining surface. She also worked in Lithography, Intaglio and Serigraphy. Her work has been presented in many exhibits nationally.
