Olga, a Russian-born painter, pursued her studies in life drawing and painting in California and Texas while also attending the Glassell School of Art in Houston after relocating to the United States.
Her artistic focus revolves around cityscapes and the human form. What sets Porter's work apart is the compelling use of dynamic, gestural marks, a penchant for subtle abstraction, occasional shifts in element placement, and a playful exploration of proportions.
Porter's art has graced galleries and venues in cities like Austin, Scottsdale, San Francisco, Luxembourg, and Tokyo, including a noteworthy inclusion in the Texas Biennial 2009. Her distinctive work has also been featured in prominent publications such as American Art Collector Magazine, Austin Monthly, Art Ltd, and others.
